History

In 1960, a group of well-respected community leaders saw the need for a funeral home that would better serve all the people of Hart County and surrounding areas.  Some of the founding fathers of our business include:  C. I. Patterson, Roy Cann, Bill Seymour, Howard Scott, Emory Poore, Henry England, James E. Chaney, Gordon Bruce and a host of other community leaders from all areas of the county.

From the onset, the goal was to provide dignified, meaningful funeral services at a fair price for all citizens.  To accomplish this goal many obstacles had to be overcome.  Through perseverance and dedication Hart County Funeral Home evolved.

Through the years some changes have occurred, but the original purpose has remained constant.  We have seen name changes which represent eras of the business that depict different leadership.  However, during this time our company has been led by dedicated funeral professionals.

As the Brooks family continues to carry on the tradition of excellent service at a fair price we are grateful for those who came before us.  The heritage of our business is important to us because it reminds us of the good things that change can bring.
