Gerline (Linder) Kersey

Gerline Kersey, age 77, of Magnolia, KY, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016, at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. She was a devoted wife, stay at home mom and also assisted with caring for her beloved grandchildren. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Curt Linder and the late Gracie Avery Linder.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bill Kersey; one daughter, Emma Kersey-Davidson and husband Donnie, Cave City, KY; three sons, Lawrence Kersey, Magnolia, KY, Linnie Kersey and wife Diana, Linwood, KY, Randall Kersey, Magnolia, KY; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Martin and six brothers.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Sunday, November 13, 2016 and from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM CT, Monday, November 14, 2016 at Brooks Funeral Home. Visitation will also be 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT, Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Upton, KY. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM CT, Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Nicky Ferguson and Bro. Billy McCrady officiating. Interment will be at Linwood Memorial Gardens, Linwood, KY.
