| Claude Allen "C. A." Melvin, age 81, of Canmer, KY passed away at 11:10 AM CT Monday, June 2, 2008, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. The Hart County native was born on May 31, 1927. He was a retired farmer and a member of Canmer Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late Roy Lee Melvin and the late Lillian (Gossett) Melvin.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Sullivan) Melvin; Three Sons: Terry Melvin (Gay) of Hardyville, KY; Danny Melvin (Trena) of Pikeville, KY & Jackie Melvin (Mary Jane) of Franklin, KY; One Brother: Kenneth Melvin (Mable) of Canmer, KY.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Herman and James Melvin.
Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT Tuesday, June 3, 2008 and from 9:00 AM to time of service Wednesday, June 4, 2008. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM CT Wednesday, June 4, 2008 with Bro. Billy Joe Foster officiating. Interment will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery in Canmer, KY. |
