| Cassie Mildred (Franklin) Howard, age 81, of Horse Cave, KY passed away Thursday, February 23, 2006, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. The Metcalfe County native was born March 1, 1924. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Glasgow, KY. She was married to the late James Hardin Howard.
She was the daughter of the late Milburn Franklin and the late Glendora (Breeding) Franklin. She is survived by her five daughters: Elder Dora Dice (Rev. Bishop Allen Dice) of Horse Cave, KY; Janice Bradley of Glasgow, KY; Carolyn Carter (Rev. Kenny Carter) of Horse Cave, KY; Janice Allen & Janice Bradley (Danny) all of Glasgow, KY; Wanda Murrell of Bowling Green, KY; four sons: James E. Howard (Mayme); Charles W. Howard (Marion); Eston L. Howard (Brenda Sue) all of Glasgow, KY; Ollie Franklin (Louise) of Hodgenville, KY; one brother: James Franklin of Bowling Green, KY; sister-in-law: Wanetta Franklin of Hiseville, KY; special friend: Mattie Austin of Cave City, KY. She is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren and fifty-two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CST Sunday, February 26, 2006 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CST Monday, February 27, 2006. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM CST Monday, February 27, 2006 with Rev. Bishop Allen Dice and Rev. William Dice officiating. Interment will be at Oddfellow Cemetery in Glasgow, KY.
