Alene (Garnett) Richardson

Alene Richardson, age 87, of Hardyville, KY, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave, KY. Mrs. Richardson was a homemaker and a member of Bearwallow Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Garnett and the late Sally Terry Garnett

She is survived by her husband, Hezie Richardson;  four daughters, Wanda Haskins and husband Harold, Horse Cave, KY, Doris Peden and husband Charles, Hardyville, KY, Betty Bush and husband Oliver, Hardyville, KY, Mary Clark and husband Loein, Indianapolis, IN;  one son, Roy Richardson, Hardyville, KY;  one sister, Elvee Reed, Horse Cave, KY;  one sister-in-law, Barbara Garnett, Cave City, KY.  She is also survived by five grandchildern, 6 great grandchildren, one step grandson, two step great grandchildren.

In additon to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Robert, Winfred, Joe, Andrew, Ernest and Carol Garnett;  one sister Mary Twyman.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, April 4, 2014 at Brooks Funeral Home and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Bearwallow Baptist Church.  Funeral service will be at Bearwallow Baptist Church at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 5, 2014, Rev. Ronnie Bryant and Rev. Glenn Woodard officiating. Interment will be at Bearwallow  Cemetery, Horse Cave, KY
