Alta Butler

Alta Butler, age 84, of Cub Run, KY, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012, at Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave, KY. She was homemaker and farmer. She was a member of Cane Run Missionary Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Shelby Butler and the late Eula Thompson Butler and the wife of the late Radford Butler. She is survived by two daughters: Dorlene Walton, Horse Cave, KY, Carlene Terry (Bro. Jimmy), Munfordville, KY; three sons: Raybon Butler (Quint), Munfordville, KY, Lanny Butler (Janette), Cub Run, KY, Furland Butler (Greedith), Cub Run, KY; one sister: Rita Mayberry, Piney Flats, TN; ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by three grandchildren Felicia Terry, Amy Butler and David Miles; one great grandchild, Lucas Miles; two sisters, Audrey Emody and Edna Stewart. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 4, 2012, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 5, 2012 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 6 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Carlon Fields and Bro. Jack Srygler officiating. Interment will be at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery, Munfordville, KY.
