Betty Gayle (Jones) Shoulders

Betty Gayle Shoulders, age 85, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Barren County Nursing and Rehab in Glasgow, KY. She was a member of Munfordville Baptist Church. She was a retired Physical Education, Biology, and Anatomy/ Physiology teacher from Hart County High School where she established the Raiderettes. She was the daughter of the late Lonza Leigh Jones and the late Edna Freelove Mann Jones. She is preceded in death by her husband James Raymond Shoulders; her brother, David Leonard Jones.

She is survived by one daughter, Kelly Denise Shoulders, Jonesville, KY; two sons, JD Lee Shoulders, Munfordville, KY, Jonathan Richard Shoulders (Jennifer), Munfordville, KY; one sister, Ladonna Joy Shipley, Glasgow, KY; four grandchildren, Joshua Ray, John Richmond (Anna), Jaxson Ryan, Jacob Riley Shoulders; one great-grandchild, Avery Kate and her nephews, Matt Chaney, Luke Chaney and their families.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM CT on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 and again from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM CT Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Hines officiating. Burial will follow at Three Forks Bacon Creek Cemetery.
