Calvin Mitchell Harp

Calvin Mitchell Harp, age 49, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011, at his residence in Munfordville, KY. He was a farmer and full time employee with Southern States. He was also a member of the Hart County Cattleman's Association and Leitchfield Crossing Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Howard Harp and Nelda Harp. He is survived by his wife: Melissa Harp; one daughter: Lora Beth Harp, Munfordville, KY; one son: Joshua Harp, Louisville, KY: mother: Nelda Harp, Munfordville, KY; mother-in-law: Judy Jones. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law Kenneth Trent and grandparents Carlos & Jane Goldsmith, Otis & Mary Harp. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday, January 2, 2012 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Immanuel Ministry Church. Funeral service will be at Immanuel Ministry Church at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 3, 2012, with Bro. Ben Benningfield and Bro. Phillip Trent officiating. Interment will be at Munfordville Municipal Cemetery, Munfordville, KY. Honorariums can be made to Leitchfield Crossing Building Fund or the Calvin Harp Hart County Football Scholarship Fund c/o PBI Bank or Brooks Funeral Home.
