Charles "Roy" Winford Ellis

Charles "Roy" Winford Ellis, age 92, of Cave City, KY, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012, at Robley Rex VA Med Center in Louisville, KY. He was a member of the Poplar Grove Bapstist Church. He is an Air Force World War II veteran. He is the son of the late Robert Ellis and the late Matilda Bridges Ellis and husband to the late Lela Pemberton Ellis. He is survived by one daughter: Jean Mills (Author) of Hodgenville, KY; two grandchildren: Erica Lyn McGee, Carol Ann Faulkner; two step grandchildren: Rondale Mills, Marla House; and several great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, December 7, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Friday, December 7, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Bradley Lewis and Rev. Dr. B. T. Bishop officiating. Interment will be at Horse Cave Cemetery, Horse Cave, KY.
