Charles Ellis

Charles Ellis, age 73, of Horse Cave, KY, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015, at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave, KY. He was a retired truck driver for Chaney Trucking and a member of Bearwallow Baptist Church. He was the son of the late J. B. Ellis and the late Vanda Richardson Ellis.

He is survived by three daughters, Charla McCray, Richmond, VA, LaTisha Gaynus and husband Elder Tyrone Gaynus, Birmingham, AL, Tonya Ellis, Hemingway, SC; two sons, Garry Ray Embry, Aurora, IL, Kendall Ellis (Sabrina), Atlanta, GA; one daughter-in-law, Rosalyn Ellis, Kingsburg, SC; three sisters, Patricia Jones, Jeffersonville, IN, Shirley Rice, Saginaw, MI, Linda Ellis, Indianapolis, IN; five brothers, Willie Ellis, Horse Cave, KY, Cecil Ellis, Bardstown, KY, Robert Ellis, Detroit, MI, Henry Ellis, Hardyville, KY, Earl Ellis, Indianapolis, IN; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Charles Earl Ellis Jr.; brother, Joe B. Ellis and two sisters, Mary Ellis and Edna Johnson

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Friday, November 13, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT, Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Bearwallow Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at Bearwallow Baptist Church at 1:00 PM CT, Saturday, November 14, 2015, Rev. Kenny Carter, Sr. officiating. Interment will be at Bearwallow Cemetery, Horse Cave, KY.
