Charlie Earl Reed, age 90 of Glasgow, KY passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026 at NHC Health Care. He was a member of Bearwallow Baptist Church where he was a deacon, and a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed being outside and going to church. The nurses had him spoiled at NHC on Tootsie Roll suckers.

He is the son of the late Loyd Reed and the late Lula Thompson Reed.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Reed; his five brothers, Cleotis, Elroy, Arthur Lee, John Lewis, and Murl Reed.

He is survived by his two sons, Terry Reed of Glasgow, KY and Charles D. Reed of Bowling Green, KY; his step-son, Roger “Yogie” Brown (Amy); seven grandchildren, Ashley, Terenza, Samantha, Jason, Elijah, Tyrone, and Melissa; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and friends also survive.

The family will welcome friends from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM CT on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Bearwallow Baptist Church. A homegoing service will be held at 1:00 PM CT on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Bearwallow Baptist Church with Rev. Shayne Stockton and Rev. Stanford Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Bearwallow Baptist Church Cemetery.
