February 14, 1922 — August 4, 2014
Clifton "Clif" Avery, age 92, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014, at his home in Munfordville, KY. He was a member of the Munfordville Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #851, Bonnieville, KY. He was a WWII army veteran where he attained Staff Seargent and worked at Fort Knox for 30 years as a Small Arms Specialist.
He was the son of the late William Avery and the late Mary E Ash Avery
He is survived by his wife, Helena Smith Avery; two sons:, Clifton Gary Avery and wife Alice, Tyler, TX, David Ray Avery and wife Sandy, Mason, OH; two grandchildren, Malcom Blake and Morgan Leigh Avery, Mason OH; two half brothers, Willie and Gerald Avery, Cub Run; one half sister, Marjorie Logsdon, Cub Run.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Friday, August 8, 2014 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 8, 2014, Bro. Gerald Murphy officiating. Interment will be at Munfordville City Cemetery, Munfordville, KY.
