David M. "Matt" Patterson

David M. "Matt" Patterson, age 47, of Magnolia, KY, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023 at his home. He was a self employed HVAC technician. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and smoking meat.

He was the son of the late Leslie Vertress and the late Margie Vandiver Vertress

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin Vandiver and Pete Vertress; his sister, DeeDee Vertress.

He is survived by two daughters, Justice Lincoln and her husband Cory, Milltown, IN, and Tessalynn Patterson (Chasten Board), Elizabethtown, KY; two sons, Wesley Patterson and his wife Kaylee, Magnolia, KY, and Noah Skaer, Elizabethtown, KY; one grandson, Abel Lincoln, Milltown, IN; one sister, Lynn Curl (Butch), West Point, KY; two brothers, Mike Patterson (Kelly), Big Springs, KY, and John Patterson (Missey), Big Springs, KY.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-8:00 PM CT on Monday, January 30, 2023 and again from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM CT on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM CT on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. Keeping with the wishes of Matt, cremation will follow the services.
