Dorothy Perkins Sanders

Dorothy Perkins Sanders, age 85, of Hardyville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Signature Health Care of Hart County. She was saved at the age of 21 at Center Point Missionary Baptist Church. She was the owner operator of C and D Produce.

She is the daughter of the late Eugene Clinton Perkins and the late Alma Lile Perkins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Louis Glenn Sanders; one sister, Marie Karnes; her long time companion, Charlie Sturgeon.

She is survived by her five children, Jo Ann Rigdon (Stanley), Munfordville, KY, Sheri Smith (David "Blue"), Munfordville, Ky, Sheila Mefford (Terry), Bowling Green, Ky, Waynes Sanders, Louisville, KY, and Mickey Sanders, Bowling Green, KY; her special friend, Hubert "Wink" Goodman, Wax, KY; eight grandchildren, Alicia Walker (Ryan), Jonathan Ridgon, Christopher Wooten, Samantha Jenkins (Wesley), Alex Mefford (Bethany), Parker Mefford, Tiffany Sanders (Nicole) and Chase Garrison; five great-grandchildren. Ava, Annsley, Grace, Easton, Sawyer, and Danni.

The family will receive frends from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM CT on Saturday, August 12, 2023 and again on Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM CT at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services witll be held at 2:00 PM CT on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Hubert Logsdon Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Hillgrove Cemetery.
