Dwight Eugene
Williams
March 3, 1955 – April 24, 2026
Dwight Eugene Williams, age 71, passed away on April 24, 2026, in Horse Cave, Kentucky. Dwight was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather or "Papa" as we called him. His greatest joy in life was his family. He was born in Springfield, Missouri, and spent his early childhood there before moving to Idaho at the age of five. It was in Idaho where he met the love of his life, his wife, Sharon. Together they had three wonderful children: Della, Leroy, and Duane. In 2021, he traveled with his family from Idaho, and made his home here in Kentucky.
Dwight dedicated over 45 years of hard work and commitment to the Amalgamated Sugar company before his retirement in 2018.
He found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, especially time spent outdoors.
Whether it was hunting, fishing, or being on the farm, he loved it all. Some of his most treasured memories were made on family vacations to the Oregon Coast.
Dwight will be remembered for his steady presence, his deep love for his family, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Thelma Williams; a daughter, Della Williams; one son, Leroy Williams; his brothers, Donald Maggard, Gary and Billy Williams; a sister, Judy Kerpa; nephews, Mark Bradshaw, David Bradshaw, and Stevie Kerpa.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Williams; one son, Duane Williams and his wife, Sonya; his grandchildren, Hayley, Kylee, Keeden, Kagen, Aliyah, Jay, and Carter; two brothers, Ernest Williams and his wife, Kay, Leonard Williams and his wife, Mary; two sisters, Thelma J. Williams and Shena Faulk; several nieces, nephews, and his beloved best friend, Snoopy.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has been chosen. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brooksfuneralhomeky.com
