Frances "Granny" Stockton

Frances "Granny" Stockton, age 87, of Cave City, KY passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave, KY. The Metcalfe county native was born January 25, 1919. Her parents were the late George & Essie (Mitchell) Johnson. She worked for the Senior Citizens Center in Cave City until her illness. She was a member of Old Blue Springs Baptist Church where she was a Missionary and a member of the Usher Board. She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Stockton. She is survived by her Two Daughters: Barbara Garnett of Cave City, KY; Dorietta Stivers of Bowling Green, KY; One Son: Kerry Stockton and his wife Henrietta of Horse Cave, KY; Nine grandchildren; Two step-grandchildren; Six great-grandchildren; A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CST Friday, March 3, 2006 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CST Saturday, March 4, 2006 at Old Blue Springs Baptist Church in Knob Lick, KY. Funeral service will be at Old Blue Springs Baptist Church at 1:00 PM CST Saturday, March 4, 2006 with Rev. William Fishback & Rev. Robert Pearson officiating. Interment will be at Bearwallow Cemetery in Horse Cave, KY.
