Frankie N. Carby

Frankie N. Carby, age 75, of Upton KY passed away Friday, September 16, 2011 at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was a retired farmer, plumber, and a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Maurice Carby and Dora Fields Carby. He is survived by one daughter: Teresa Anstead; two sons: Glennie Carby (Cathleen) and Craig Carby, all of Upton, KY. He is also survived by his mother Dora Fields Carby of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren: Norman Anstead, DeAnna Barton, Jayna Thompson, Lucas Carby, Halie Carby, & Dayton Carby; seven great-grandchildren: Rachel Anstead, Michael Anstead, Douglas Barton, Bobby Barton, Jonathan Anstead, Eli Thompson, & Camden Thompson. He is also survived by two sisters: Beverly Knight of Upton, KY and Phyllis McGrew of Clarkson, KY. In addition to his wife Helen Womack Carby he is preceded in death by his father Maurice Cardy; brother Barry Carby; and son in law Gary Anstead. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 11:00 CT AM to 9:00 PM, CT Monday, September 19, 2011 and from 10:00 AM CT to 1:00 PM, CT Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Missonary Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00 PM, CT Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Brother Shane Wilson and Brother Carlon Fields officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Upton, KY.
