Georgie Ray Sams

Georgie Ray Sams, age 87, of Bonnieville, KY, died Thursday, July 1, 2010. Sams was a farmer and a member of Church Of God Prophecy. He was the son of the late Daniel Sams and the late Ella Sue Sams and husband of the late Mary Francis Price Sams. He is also survived by three daughters: Mary Sue Brashear, Claypool , IN, Georgia Jessie, Glasgow, KY, Elsie Lorene Sams, Fairmont , IN; one sister: Mary Richardson, Munfordville, KY; five brothers: Jessie Sams, Munfordville, KY, Otis Sams, Rowletts, KY, Ervin Sams, Kokomo, IN, Charles Sams, Cave City, KY, Lonnie Sams, Cave City, KY; four grandchildren, twelve great-Grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jake E. Sams and a sister, Louree Bryant. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, July 4, 2010 and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Monday, July 5, 2010. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 5, 2010, Bro. Tim Gribbons officiating. Interment will be at Timberlake Cemetery, Munfordville, KY.
