Glenn E. Thomas, age 76 of Munfordville, KY, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026 at his home. He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. He graduated from Fairdale High School in 1967 and earned a B.A. in English from University of Louisville. He was a real estate developer. Owned and operated Hart County Realty, Inc. for over 40 years. He was a Certified Land Consultant, and had his (CCIM) Certified Commercial Investment Member Designation. Glenn was also a member of Rotary, Hart County Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky Association of Realtors, Kentucky Association of Economic Development, Accredited Land Consultant, the National Association of Realtors, he served a brief stint as the Hart County Judge Executive, Kentucky Real Estate Commission, former Munfordville City Council Member, and various other boards and associations. Most recently, Glenn was learning to fly, working to obtain his pilots liscense. During his most recent instruction, he landed the plane for the first time by himself. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and he was an avid golfer. Glenn was always proud of where he and Phyllis came from saying "Not bad for two kids from Fairdale".
He is the son of the late Charley Thomas and the late Estelle Murphy Thomas.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Ellen Thomas.
He is survived by his two children, Paul Thomas and his wife, Carrie; Becky Riordan and her husband,Patrick; six grandchildren, Chase Thomas, Levi Thomas, Cody Riggs (Nicolette), Clay Riordan (Mackenzie), Crandon Riordan (Chandrika), and Travis Schuffitt (Stacy); seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Michael Thomas (Dawn); brothers-in-law, Doug Morgan (Connie) and Gene Yates; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family also survive.
The family will welcome friends from 12:00- 8:00 PM CT on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 and again from 8:00- 11:00 AM CT on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Riordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.
