Gordon Bruce

Joseph Gordon Bruce, age 94, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, at his home in Munfordville, KY. Mr. Bruce was a farmer, a former Hart County Sheriff and a veteran of the United States Army. He was the son of the late Goff Bruce and the late Grace Smith Bruce He is survived by one son: Dale Bruce, Munfordville, KY; one sister: Sue Sirles, Louisville, KY; one brother: Royce Bruce and wife Erylene, Louisville, KY; a caregiver Janice Jones, Munfordville, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Audrey Bruce; infant twins; four brothers: Bill, Glen, Wallace and Randall Bruce; one sister Evelyn Petterson. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, July 21, 2013. and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday, July 22, 2013 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 22, 2013, Bro. Ben Benningfield officiating. Interment will be at Cub Run Cemetery, Cub Run, KY
