I Scott Gibbons, age 92, of Bonnieville, KY, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown, KY. He was retired from American Standard, US World War II Navy veteran and served on USS Ericsson, was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rights, and was an avid supporter of the WHAS Crusade for Children. He was also a member of Pink Ridge Baptist Church. The Edmonton native was the son of the late Ambrose Gibbons and the late Maude McFarland Gibbons. He is survived by his wife: Mildred Gibbons; one daughter: Sue Clay (Dewey), Lexington. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2011 and from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2011. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2011, Bro. Tommy Adams officiating. Interment will be at Memory Park Cemetery, Bonnieville, KY. Masonic service will be 6:00 pm Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Brooks Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to WHAS Crusade for Children
