Irene Burba

Irene Burba, age 81, of Mammoth Cave, KY, passed away at 10:10 PM CT Sunday, August 10, 2008 at her home. The Knoxville, TN native was born on April 14, 1927. She was a homemaker and a member of Stockholm United Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late George Howard Vineyard and the late Cynthia (Cox) Vineyard. She is survived by her husband; Ralph Burba, Jr., Mammoth Cave, KY; Three Daughters: Rebecca Ramsey (Cecil), Mammoth Cave, KY; Nancy Dennis, Cub Run, KY; & Paula Clark (Donald), Bonnieville, KY; One Son: Arthur Burba (Diane), Leaksville, MI; Four Sisters: Mary Helen Whitlow, Springhill, FL; Bobbie Arnold, Bardstown, KY; Vivian Smith, Louisville, KY; & Cynthia Piatt, Shelbyville, KY; Two Brothers: George Howard Vineyard, Jr., Louisville, KY; & Johnny Vineyard, Vine Grove, KY She is also survived by ten grandchildren, two step-grandchildren & seventeen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Clara Sapoznick & Bettie Carter. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, KY where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM CT, Tuesday, August 12, 2008 and from 9:00 AM to time of service Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM CT Wednesday, August 13, 2008 with Bro. Scott Coats officiating. Interment will be at Union Light Cemetery, Mammoth Cave, KY
