James William Hendren

James William Hendren, age 81, of Cub Run, KY, formerly of Shepherdsville, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. He was retired from Ford Motor Company, a member of the UAW and a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He served during the Korean Conflict with the US Army. He was the son of the late Raymond Hendren and the late Ruby Brown Hendren. He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Louise Hendren; two sons: Jimmy Hendren (Cindy), Cub Run, KY, Darrell Hendren (Bonita), Upton, KY; three granddaughters: April Hendren, Heather Hendren, Robin Hendren; and one great granddaughter: Layla Hendren. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT, Wednesday, August 24, 2011 and from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM CT, Thursday, August 25, 2011. Visitation will be at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT, Friday, August 26. Funeral service will be at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00 PM CT, Friday, August 26, 2011. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Upton, KY.
