James Donald "Don" Humphrey Jr.

James Donald “Don” Humphrey Jr., age 51 of Canmer, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Medical Center at Caverna. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on guns, sharpening knives, and spending time with his family.

He is the son of James D. Humphrey Sr. of Munfordville, KY and the late Phyllis Robinson Humphrey.

He is preceded in death by two nieces, Coy Lynne Miller and Candace AnnMarie Barr; one nephew, Cody Allen Barr; a brother in law, Ronnie Barr; and a cousin, Wayne Kersey.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Barbara Lawless Humphrey of Canmer, two daughters, Stephanie and Abigail Humphrey of Canmer; one step-son, Kenneth Cowles; one step-grandchild, Grayson Cowles; two sisters, Bonita Miller (Scottie) and Carol Barr (Cesar) both of Canmer; two nephews, Brett Miller and Joseph Barr also survive.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-8:00 PM CT on Friday, July 12, 2024 and again from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM CT on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM CT on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Quinn Cemetery in Bonnieville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brooks Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
