Jill Lawler Smith

Jill Smith, age 44, of Munfordville, KY, passed away peacefully at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky on Friday, January 19, 2024 surrounded by her family and friends. She was a member of Munfordville Baptist Church, and she was a nurse at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter “Sis” and Dorothy Lawler, Jessie McCalvin, and Ernest and Margaret Davis.

She is the daughter of Sammy and Vicki McCalvin Lawler.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Chad; two daughters, Taylor and Emma; one brother, Jeff Lawler and his wife, Becky; one niece, Brittany Letner and her husband, Cain (GA); two great-nephews, Raylan and Riley (GA); one brother-in-law, Adam Strode and his wife, Brandi; two nephews, Liam and Landon (GA); her best friends, Amanda, Amy, Beth, Heather, Jessica, Karrie, and Whitney; and several other friends and family members also survive.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-8:00 PM CT on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home and again from 8:00 AM-11:00 AM CT on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Hines officiating. Burial will follow at Munfordville Cemetery in Munfordville, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society Memorial Foundation Hope Lodge of Nashville and to Gideon Bibles.
