Johnny Lee Leonard

Johnny Leonard, age 72, passed away on January 16, 2026. He was born in Macon, Georgia November 2, 1953 to the late Hazel and Arthur Leonard. Johnny spent his entire career in law enforcement. He worked for the FBI, SBI and retired as a Deputy Director of CCBI. He was certified by the International Association of Identification in fingerprints and shoe tracks. He trained many latent print examiners all over the country as well as internationally.

He leaves behind his wife of almost 49 years Meshellia, a brother Larry Leonard (Jo-Ann). He was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph, Garrison, Harry, and sister Betty Yohennes.

Services will be private and under the direction of Brooks Funeral Home.
