Kenneth Mitchell Gaines, age 74 of Munfordville, KY passed away peacefully in his home on April 22. 2026. He was born on December 09, 1951. He was a member of the Allen Seminary Baptist Church. Mr. Gaines went to Carter Dowling School and graduated from Hart Memorial where he played basketball. He attended college at Western Kentucky University and Bowling Green Junior College. He was drafted to the United States Army at 18.

He was the son of the late Kenneth Gaines and the late Georgia Bradley Driver. He was grandson of the late Burks and the late Lovie Bradley and the late Harvey and late Bessie Gaines.

He was preceded in death by a step father, Eddie Driver; one brother, Elvis Orlando Gaines; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Gaines.

He is survived by two sisters, Karen Gaines, Munfordville, KY, Carmon Dixon (Russell), Horse Cave, KY; one brothers, Gary Gaines, Munfordville, KY, one nephew Terrius (TJ) Gaines, Louisville, KY and one niece, Teatra Davis, Glasgow, KY and lots of cousins.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM CT on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CT on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. David Bradley and Rev. Stanford Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Allen Seminary Cemetery.
