Lenora Cox Meredith

Lenora Cox Meredith, age 93, of Horse Cave, KY, passed  away Monday, January 23, 2023 at the Medical Center at Caverna. She was a member of Cherry Spring Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed soap operas, game shows and her flowers

She was the daughter of the late Martin Cox and the late Jossie Byrns Cox.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Fid Meredith; one grandson, Stephen Avery; one great-grandson, Cody Avery; her two brothers, P.T. Cox and Willie Cox; her sister, Edith Whitman.

She is survived by one daughter, Gladys Avery and her husband, Laymon Avery, Greensburg, KY; two sons, Tex Meredith and his wife, Marilyn, Hardyville, KY and Elbert Meredith and his wife, Rose, Cub Run, KY; 12 grandchildren, Lori Waldeck (Jeremy), Mary Lykins (Elliott), Timmy Avery (Jamie Gagner), Patrick Avery (Pam), Allye Matney, Ryan Avery, Makayla Meredith (Tristan), Riley Knackstedt, Eric Sparks, Pamela Burns, Linda Cook, and Trevor Meredith; five great-grandchildren, Hudson Meredith, Brock and Reese Lykins, Isabelle and Lucas Waldeck; one brother, Wayne Cox (Edna), Munfordville, KY, and one sister, Sharon Osbrooks, Bowling Green, KY, also survive.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM CTon Wednesday, January 25, 2023 and again from 8:00 AM- 11:00 AM CT on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CT on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Dwayne Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Cherry Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
