Mary Kay Hawkins Gore

Mary Kay Hawkins Gore, age 67, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 at her home with her family surrounding her. She was raised in the Cub Run area, and she had an amazing sense of humor. She had a love for art and her family.

She was the daughter of the late William Clarence Hawkins and the late Gertie Esther Buster Hawkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Gore Jr.; one great-grandson, Jackson Tucker; one son-in-law, Daniel Annanders; five sisters, Elizabeth Bishop, Charlene Taylor, Aloma McDowell, Lucy Meredith, and Amy Rowvena Grass; two brothers, Damon Hawkins and Jessie William Hawkins.

She was survived by her three daughters, Angela Logsdon (Rev. Ric) of Louisville, KY, Lisa Annanders of St. Louis, OK, and Donna Gibson (Billy) of Caneyville, KY; thirteen grandchildren, Ronald Logsdon, Rikki Chung (Zachary), Ollevia Story (Tyler), Tyler Tucker (Michelle), Audrey Annanders, Dakota Annanders, Shane Annanders, Collin Meredith (Kelly), Kelcie Casey, Emilie Blevins (Dusty), Jacob Casey, Jarrett Gibson, Madalynn Gibson; twelve great-grandchildren, Wesley Logsdon, Evan Grace Story, Jackson Chung, Tyler Story Jr., Lyla Chung, Isabella Key, Ryder Key, Blair Tucker, Kayleigh Meredith, Addie Meredith, Wyatt Blevins, and Uriah Blevins; three sisters, Frances Glass, Cozetta Buster, and Kathy McFarland (Barry); and one brother, Samuel Hawkins (Veronica); several other nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM CT on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CT on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Ric Logsdon officiating. Burial will follow at Cherry Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
