Ra Dewayne Williams, age 71, of Hardyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at his residence in Hardyville, KY. He was a retired welder from American Air Filter and a member of Stone Street Missionary Baptist. He was the son of the late Doc Williams and the late Mary Eliza Childress Williams.
He is survived by one daughter, Karen Williams Hord and husband Danny, Louisville, KY; three sons, Rick Williams, Louisville, KY, Timothy Williams, Louisville, KY, Terry Williams, Louisville, KY; two sisters, Myrtle Thompson, Mammoth Cave, KY, Betty Newton, Bardstown, KY; two brothers, Loron Williams, Louisville, KY, Thurman Williams, Shepherdsville, KY; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Alvin Williams, Eldon Williams, Nelson Williams, Arthur Williams; three sisters, Ollie Stephens, Earlene Ashley, Thelma Jean Childress.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 8, 2015 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, January 9, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, January 9, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Stith officiating. Interment will be at Union Light Cemetery, Mammoth Cave, KY.
