Rev. Calvin Thomas Vaughn, age 51, of Canmer, KY, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012, at his residence in Canmer, KY. Rev.Vaughn was employed by Louisville Bedding Company, a member of Little Zion Baptist Church and pastor of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Adair County.
He was the son of the late Buford Thompson and the late Eva Kathleen Vaughn
He is survived by his wife: Eartha Beard Vaughn; one daughter: Whitney Vaughn, Canmer, KY; one son: Cedric Vaughn, Canmer, KY; one sister: Margaret Thompson, Summersville, KY; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, June 8, 2012 and from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Curle and Rev.William McCann officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Gilboa Cemetery, Canmer, KY.
