Robert C. Brooks

Mr. Robert C. Brooks, age 79, of Horse Cave, KY, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015, at his residence in Horse Cave, KY. He was a self employed mechanic, former chief of Hart County Rescue Squad, retired Hart County Emergency Management Director and a member of Horse Cave Church of Christ. He was the son of the late William Brooks and the late Anna Mary Edwards Brooks.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Atteberry Brooks; two daughters, Mary Locke, Cave City, KY, Rhonda Quenzer and husband Collin, Glasgow, KY; one son, Dale Brooks and wife Michelle, Glasgow, KY; four sisters, Carolyn Jane Lizza, CA, Rodona Nail, Glasgow, KY, Merida Wolfe, Paducah, KY, Rebecca Kapassakis and husband George, Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, Norman Brooks and wife Linda, Indianapolis, IN, William Clayburn "Bill" Brooks and wife Bessie, Horse Cave, KY; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Robert Daniel Brooks and a sister, Hilda Russell.
The family will receive friends 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM CT, Saturday, November 28, 2015 and from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM CT, Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM CT, Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Brooks Funeral Home with Mike Thompson and Billy Bybee officiating. Interment will be at Weldon Cemetery, Bonnieville, KY.
