Ronald Lewis Thornton

Ronald Lewis Thornton, age 55, of Louisville, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. Ronald loved the sport of basketball and he had a great sense of humor. He easily brought joy and laughter to his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his Father, Bobby R. Thornton Sr, Mother, Mamie Thornton and his brother, Tyrone Thornton.

He is survived by one brother, Bobby Thornton Jr, and wife Freda of Baton Rouge, LA; three sisters, Cheryl Ballew of Ankeny, IA, Angela Thornton and Sharon Thornton, both of Louisville, KY; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Due to recent public health concerns, all services are private and limited to immediate familly.

The funeral celebration for Ronald Thornton will be held at a later date. Private Interment will be at Woodsonville Memorial Gardens, KY.

Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY.
