Shirley H. (Horton) Miles

Shirley H. Miles, age 75, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. She worked at Louisville Bedding; was the owner and operator of Hart Restaurant; was a founding owner of Miles Backhoe Service; and was a cook at Hart County High School. She enjoyed sewing, hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with her family and her dog, Charlie.

She was the daughter of the late Lonnie Horton and the late Nancy "Florence" Moulden Horton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Miles; two step-daughters, Debra Lynne Satterly and Yvette McCarty; three brothers, James Horton, Roy Horton, and Raymond Horton; and one sister, Willow Dean Miller.

She is survived by one son, Lee Miles and his wife Maria of Munfordville; one daughter, LaDonna Rothman and her husband Michael of Munfordville; 15 grandchildren, Corey Beth Morgan and her husband Isaiah, Tyler Kaufman (Alexis Johnson), Timothy Rothman, Bella Rothman, Carly Rothman, Ryder Rothman, Whitney Nicole Groce and her husband Seth, Tristen Miles (Jenna Logsdon), Tucker Miles, Shanda Rader (Chris), Lynne Ragland, Jeremiah Logsdon, Jacob Logsdon, Donna Vincent, Matthew McCarty; 6 great-grandchildren, Tanner Morgan, Callie Morgan, Tate Morgan, Urban Blue Meredith, Olivia Corbin, Hudson Lee Groce; one step-daughter, Sheila Dobson and her children Derek Meredith and Sabrina Meredith; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM CT on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM CT on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Coats officiating. Burial will follow at the Miles Family Cemetery in Munfordville, KY.
