Thomas R. Jenkins

Thomas R. Jenkins, age 71 of Elizabethtown passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, Ky. He was a former employee of Gates Rubber Company and First Federal Savings Bank. He enjoyed hunting, collecting and building model cars. He was an avid UK, Steelers, and occasionally UofL, but Gun Smoke was his jam. He was a wonderful husband husband, father, and papaw.

He was the son of the late Rudolph Jenkins and the late Joyce Thompson Jenkins.

He is preceded in death by one brother, Terry Jenkins.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nettie Walters Jenkins, Elizabethtown, KY; two daughters, Jackie Caver of Bonnieville, KY, Shannon Minor and her husband Scott of Munfordville, KY; three grandchildren, Cristin Godbey and her husband James, Bonnieville, Ky, Jaxon Minor and Zach Minor, of Munfordville, KY; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Godbey and Rowan Godbey; one sister, Delphia O'Bryant, of Pensylvania; his fur baby, Ellie, also survives.

The family will welcome visitors from 12:00- 4:00 PM CT on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Brooks Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM CT on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Brooks Funeral Home, services will be live streamed on Facebook, cremation will follow services.
