Thomas M. Shemwell

Thomas M. Shemwell, age 80, of Horse Cave, KY, passed away at 11:31 PM CT Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave, KY. The Logan County native was born on March 23, 1932. He was a retired supervisor with Atlantic Richfield and a farmer. Mr. Shemwell was a member of Rowletts Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was the son of the late Frank Shemwell and the late Osie (Allen) Shemwell. He is survived by Two Daughters: Mildred Gass (John), Louisville, KY; Rhonda Shelton (Denny), Magnolia, KY; One Son: Ricky Thomas Shemwell (Cynthia), Horse Cave, KY; One Sister: Mary Jo Michael (Willis), Atlanta, GA; Two Brothers: Earl Glenn Shemwell (Nancy) & James M. Shemwell (Jeanette), both of Russelville, KY. He is also survived by Two Grand Children, Two Great-Grand Children, Several Nieces & Nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Mildred Shemwell & Five Sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CT, Monday, April 23, 2012 and from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM CT, Tuesday, April 24, 2012 and from 9:00 AM to time of service Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM CT, Wednesday, April 25, 2012, with Bro. Terry Shelton, Bro. Gary Talley, & Bro. David Morgan officiating. Interment will be at Horse Cave Cemetery, Horse Cave, KY.
