Tonya Matthews

Tonya Matthews age 53 of Munfordville, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025 at the Norton’s Women’s and Children's Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was a licensed beautician, and a cook at Bacon Creek Cafe in Bonnieville.

She is the daughter of the late James Rickey Matthews and the late Connie Blair Matthews.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Teresa and Lisa Matthews; one nephew, Trenton Matthews.

She is survived by her son Lucas Matthews (Daisy Mills), Horse Cave, KY; two grandchildren, Ava Matthews and August Matthews; one brother, Jamie Matthews (Bobbie); two sisters, Rickeya Riggs (Jason), Ashley Diaz (Maurilio); seven nieces and nephews, Dakota, Kaleb, Morgan, A.J., Paityn, Gabriel, and Carmen.

Honoring the wishes of Tonya, cremation has been chosen. There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 11:00 A.M.- 4:00 P.M. CT, at the Priceville Community Center in Priceville, KY. Brooks Funeral Home is assisting with the services.
