William Harvey "Billy" Lane Jr

William Harvey "Billy" Lane, Jr., age 79, of Rowletts, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at his residence in Rowletts, KY. The Hart County native was born on June 17, 1932. He was a retired farmer and member of the Rowletts Methodist Church. He was the son of the late William Harvey Lane Sr. and the late Elizabeth Bailey Lane. He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Barbara Puckett Lane, Rowletts, KY; Two Daughters: Doris Ann Gentry (Bill), Hardyville, KY; & Gaye Lane Asbury (Billy Joe), Center, KY; One Son: Ronald Dale Lane (Pamela), Rowletts, KY; One Sister: Sarah Lane Cartmill (Robert Adair), Winder, GA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Paul, Wesley & Stuart Gentry, Ellen Tandy, Mindy Brooks, Cindy Herrington, Jason, Nicholas & Benjamin Lane. Three step-grandchildren: Matthew & Alayna Bailey, & Christina Bailey Alvey. Sixteen great-grandchildren & two great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter-Alice Lane, and a great-grandson-Joshua Lane Gentry. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, KY where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM CT to 8:00 PM CT, Monday, September 26, 2011 and from 9:00 AM to time of service Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM CT, Tuesday, September 27, 2011 with Bro. Gary Talley, & Bro. Barry Devine officiating. Interment will be at Pearl Webb Cemetery, Canmer, KY
