Wilma Meredith Purpura

Wilma Meredith Purpura, age 79 of Cub Run passed away Friday, September 27, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was retired from Maids On Time as a general manager. She loved knitting, woodworking, gardening, and she was mother of all trades. She enjoyed time with family and helping any of them she could. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandma. 

She is the daughter of late Marie Meredith

She is preceded in death by her two sisters, Wanda Lee Jaggers and Doris Cannon; one brother, Paul Calvin Cannon.

She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Purpura; two children, Johnny Lee Meredith and his wife Kari, Cub Run, KY, and Michelle Ferike, Horse Cave, KY; five grandchildren, Wayne Ferike, Brandon Ferike, Nathan Ferike, Meliah Ferike,and Hailey Johnson; one brother, Joey Cannon (Christy); four sisters, Paulette Webb (Junior), Kaye Givens (Greg), Lorette Mathis (Eddie), and Tammy Burgess (John); several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM CT on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM CT at Brooks Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Grider officiating. Burial will follow at the Meredith Thompson Cemetery.
