Winford Maxey, age 76, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was a farmer and a Baptist.
He was the son of the late Henry Maxey and the late Tennessee Young Maxey.
He is survived by three daughters, Shirley Maxey, Jo Ann Maxey both Munfordville, KY, Janice Maxey-Rice, Glasgow, KY; one son, Ronald Maxey, Lexington, KY; one sister, Martha Aileen Paul, Munfordville, KY; two brothers, Henry June Maxey, Horse Cave, KY, Ervin Maxey, Munfordville, KY; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and special friend, Carol Melton of Munfordville, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 10, 2013 and from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Barbour and Keith Rowlett officiating. Interment will be at Allen Seminary Cemetery, Hardyville, KY.
