Obituary
Garland Ray "Pappy" Hill, Sr., age 78, of Horse Cave, KY, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 surrounded by family at his residence. He attended services at Remenant Church. He was a US Army veteran and a property manager for U-Store-It.
He was the son of the late Emmit Hill and the late Pearl Hodge Hill and husband to the late Joyce Elaine Hill and Connie J. Hill.
He is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tori Lashay Minton; one son, Denzil Stutts
He is survived by his nine children, Garland Ray Hill, Jr. and his wife Angel, Citrus Spring, FL; Gloria Minton and her husband Robert, Horse Cave, KY; Pam Simard and her husband Paul, Wesely Chapel, FL, Tony Sullivan and his wife Renita, Plant City, FL, Kitty Martin and her husband John, Prattville, AL, Chris Stutts, St. Petersburg, FL, Dean Stutts and his wife Shannon, Zepherhills, FL, Angie Moore and her husband Captain, Hodgenville, KY, Deborah Drake, New Mexico; a special friend, Ruby Gore, Clarkson, KY; Several grandchildren, great-granchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many family also survive.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Thursday, June 15, 2023 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM CT, Friday, June 16, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 16, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. Military honors will be performed following the service at the funeral home. Honoring Garland's wishes, cremation will follow.
