Henry Wayne Matthews

Henry Wayne Matthews, age 87, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021. He was a former bus driver and custodian for Hart County Board Of Education. He was the son of the late Frank Matthews and the late Annie Rucker Matthews and husband of the late Rosey Ellen Philpott Matthews. He was preceded in death by two children, Jimmy Matthews and Deborah Matthews; grandchildren, Shawn Matthews Dustin Matthews, Misty Kingerey, Taylyn Logsdon; brothers, Robert Matthews, Novie Matthews and Stanford Matthews.

He is survived by four daughters, Sharon Kaye Robinson (John), Franklin, TN, Angela Rose Logsdon (R.T.), Munfordville, KY, Carolyn Brooks (Roger), Cave City, KY, Brenda Scott (Joe), Horse Cave, KY; four sons, Henry Allan Matthews (Jane), Buffalo, KY, Danny Ray Matthews, Munfordville, KY, Allan Wayne Matthews (Melissa), Glasgow, KY, Billy Ray Matthews, Park City, KY; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT, Friday, August 13, 2021 and from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM CT, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 14, 2021 with Bro. Jason Dickey officiating.

Interment will be at Concord Cemetery, Bonnieville, KY.
