Joyce R. (Thompson) Jenkins Avra

Joyce R. Thompson Jenkins Avra, age 88, of Hodgenville, KY, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022. She was retired from Gates Rubber Co.

She was the daughter of the late Harry Thompson and the late Bessie Layman Thompson and wife of the late James Avra. She was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Jenkins; grandson, Christopher Michael Hines and three sisters, Ethel Poper, Hazel Fisher and Dorothy Cook.

She is survived by one daughter, Delphia O'Bryant (Paul), Hodgenville, KY; one son, Thomas R. Jenkins (Nettie), Elizabethtown, KY; one daughter-in-law, Diane Jenkins, Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM CT Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM CT, Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home.
