Lanny Sharpensteen

Lanny Sharpensteen, age 62 of  Magnolia, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 at UofL Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Jonesville. He was a heavy equipment operator at Magnolia, Horse Cave, and Glasgow Quarries.

He was the son of the late Arthur Vincent Sharpensteen and Bessie Mae Hawks Sharpensteen.

He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Danny Lee and Donnie Sharpentsteen.

He is survived by his step-daughter, Stacey Kilman; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends also survive.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM-8:00 PM CT on Saturday, April 29, 2023 and again from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM CT on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CT on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Riordan officiating. Burial will follow at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
