Raymond E. Richey

Raymond E. Richey, age 88, of Cave City, KY, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was formerly employed by Best Foods in Pekin, IL, a charter member and trustee of Providence United Baptist Church and served in the US Navy during the World War II. He was the son of the late Joseph Richey and the late Beulah Perkins Richey. He is survived by his wife: Amy Richey; two daughters: Cathy Vincent, Cave City, KY, Missy Miller (Timmy), Cave City, KY; one son: Ron Richey (Myrt), Delavan, IL; two sisters: Ruby Cockerham, Glasgow, KY, Patty Bauer, Arizona; three brothers: Ralph Richey, Cottonwood, AZ, John Richey, Glasgow, KY, Ruel Richey, Louisville, KY; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son David Richey and 5 brothers, Roy, Robert, Rondal, Reid Howard and Joe Richard Richey. Arrangements are being handled by Brooks Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, June 4, 2010 and from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Saturday, June 5, 2010. Funeral service will be at Brooks Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 5, 2010, Rev. David Rountree and Rev. Roy Miller officiating. Interment will be at Providence Church Cemetery, Horse Cave, KY.
