Rev. Wesley Buntyn

Rev. Wesley Buntyn, age 62, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at Jewish Hopsital in Louisville. He was a devoted husband, father, member and ordained minister at Woodsonville Baptist Church since 2017. He was a proud member of the U.S. Army. He was born on January 30, 1960 to the late John Wesley Buntyn and the Late Mary Brown Buntyn.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Thornton and brother, Stanley Buntyn.

Wesley is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carolyn Sue Buntyn; daughter, Monica Mason of Memphis Tennessee; five sons, Mario Buntyn and his wife, Lori, Horse Cave, Kentucky, Terrell Thornton, Louisville, Kentucky, Jarrod Thornton and his wife Brienne of Glendale, Kentucky, Jaylin Buntyn, Munfordville, Kentucky, and JaShawn Buntyn, Munfordville, Kentucky; host of foster kids and grandkids; one brother, Matthew Buntyn, Kileen Texas; one sister, Linda Mullins (Jimmy), Bolivar, Tennessee; mother-in-law, Carole Thornton, Munfordville, Kentucky; brothers-in-law, Steve Thornton, Munfordville, Kentucky, Timothy Thornton (Linda), Austin, Texas and Kenny Thornton, Louisville, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Vivian Thornton, Munfordville, Kentucky, Jacqueline Jewell, Louisville, Kentucky, Malina Kirk, Glasgow, Kentucky, and Jewell Miller (Corey); host of foster kids and grandkids.

The family will see friends from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. CT on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. CT on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. K.T. Ford and Rev. Terry Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Woodsonville Memorial Gardens with millitary honors.
